BARKINGSIDE ART CLUB HOST BIG DRAW!
Autumn is fast approaching, as greens turns to reds, we at Barkingside Art Club are looking to carry on the spirit of summer in a colourful splash this October. As part of the Big Draw Festival – an annual event connecting people of all ages with museums, outdoor spaces, artists, designers, illustrators – and each other, through thousands of drawing activities around the world. The Big Draw annually involves 1000+ organisers on seven continents, engaging around 400,000 people. This year BAC is keeping things playful.
We have organised days full of maximum creativity and imagination, we will be transforming ordinary objects into tools for expression at The Fullwell Cross Library on the 20th of October, join us there and Let’s Play with Paints! And believe us, when we say play we really mean it, utilising unconventional and conventional methods, ranging from painting from projections, having fun with scale and taking a step back with brushes longer than a giraffe’s neck. You may choose to work individually or see where the collaboration journey will take you, finishing your own work is not required – finishing someone else’s may be better! All materials will be provided with a little help from our volunteers on the day. We will run three sessions; each one lasting an hour at: 3pm-4pm, 4pm-5pm, 5pm-6pm. Thanks to the kindness of Rich Hair Salon the price of the ticket has been reduced to £1.00. Younger children are welcome if supervised by parents / carers. Advanced booking is essential as there are limited places
