20, 27, November - 4, 11 and 18th December 2018
We run regular After school Art Club for children at Fullwood School.
Our Workshops are opportunities for children to learn and practice a variety of art techniques using an extensive range of materials. Taught with close guidance, through classic and contemporary art making techniques.
We will begin by teaching your child the basics and fundamentals of various techniques as well as provide a brief history of the medium that they are using and then advance to more challenging techniques and methods as they continue to grow.
Our classes cover but are not limited to: drawing (graphite, pencil, sharpie, water colour pencils, pastels) painting (acrylics, watercolour, ink) printing (relief printing, linocut, mono-printing, screen printing) and mixed media (collage, digital art, projector).
Our principles are founded on inclusion and diversity so children with SEN and learning difficulties are always welcome.
We encourage parents to book in a block as that allows for consistent development in technique – but you are welcome to pop in for a single session too. At the end of each term we organise a small exhibition so we can admire all of the work produced together!
November 20th : Still life with soft pastels
November 27th: Working with brushes and Indian ink learning about values and tones.
December 4th: Mono printing.
December 11th : Clay sculptures
December 18th: Acrylic painting
These workshops happen every Tuesday after school at Fullwood School (excluding half terms and holidays).
Our principles are founded on inclusion and diversity - we believe art hold the power to improve the quality of our lives, regardless of background or ability.
