Creative Ambassador Program
Ages 11–20 | Saturdays 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM
(Extended Option: 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM for GCSE, ALEVELS & Arts Award Support)
About the Program
The Creative Ambassador Program at Barkingside Art Club offers young people aged 11–20 the opportunity to develop their creativity, leadership, and professional skills through art.
Participants receive creative mentoring, gain practical work experience, and work towards nationally recognised Arts Awards qualifications that strengthen their academic and career prospects.
Designed for talented, motivated, and community-minded young people, the program encourages critical thinking, creative confidence, and collaboration.

Commitment
Creative Ambassadors attend every Saturday from 11:30 AM – 1:30 PM.
Students needing additional support or portfolio time may join from 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM.
A minimum commitment of 2 hours per week is required, and attendance is compulsory.
All materials and resources are provided.
Scholarships & Access Fund
The program includes a Scholarship Scheme and Creative Access Fund to ensure all committed young people can participate.
Under 13s may receive full scholarships to attend sessions.
Ages 13+ can “earn while they learn,” gaining experience through volunteering and creative leadership.
Financial support is available for materials, session fees, or Arts Award registration for those demonstrating dedication and progress.
Volunteering & Work Experience
Participants can volunteer as buddies, assisting younger students and supporting community events such as Light Up for Inclusion.
Young people aged 16+ may also access paid roles or advanced voluntary positions, subject to DBS clearance and consent.

The Creative Ambassador Program is inclusive of all young people — including those with special educational needs or in care.
We recognise the barriers many face in accessing creative qualifications and employment.
