Soul Studio – Therapeutic Art Sessions for SEND Parents & Carers

Take time for yourself in a welcoming, creative space designed especially for SEND parents and carers.

For almost two years, Soul Studio has been bringing SEND parents and carers together through creativity in partnership with Empowering Parents Together (EPT) Redbridge, with in-kind support from Vision Redbridge and Fullwell Cross Library.

These free monthly sessions provide a safe, welcoming and inclusive space where SEND parents can step away from the daily challenges of caring, reduce isolation, improve wellbeing, and build meaningful connections with others who truly understand the SEND journey.

Led by professional artist, educator and fellow SEND mum Eliyah Qureshi, each workshop blends therapeutic creativity with practical art-making, offering a chance to relax, learn new skills, express yourself and reconnect with your own creativity in a calm, judgement-free environment.

Throughout the year, parents explore a variety of inspiring techniques including acrylic painting, drawing, printmaking, gel plate printing, stencil art, clay sculpture, mixed media and seasonal crafts. Every session is designed to build confidence, encourage mindfulness and provide beautiful handmade artwork to take home.

Autumn Programme 2026

🎨 24 September – Forever Love, Forever David Hockney
Explore vibrant acrylic painting inspired by the colourful landscapes of David Hockney.

🏮 22 October – The Big Draw: Create Your Lantern
Celebrate The Big Draw by designing and painting your own watercolour lantern.

🖨️ 19 November – Printmaking & Stencil Art
Experiment with gel plate printmaking and stencil techniques to create your own decorative wall hanging.

🎄 17 December – Festive Wreath Making & Clay Sculptures
Create a festive wreath, sculpt clay decorations and make beautiful handmade seasonal gifts using mixed media and recycled materials.
