OurSaturday Art Clubsoffer a relaxed but well-structured weekend creative programme for children and young people, supporting exploration, confidence, skill development, and progression through visual art.

• February half term:No sessions on Saturday 21 February

Ages:4–7 years
Time:11:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Session length:1 hour
Total sessions:10 sessions

About the Junior Art Club

TheSaturday Junior Art Clubis a fun, inclusive, and exploratory creative space designed especially for children aged 4–7. These sessions focus oncreative play and visual art, helping children build confidence, curiosity, and enjoyment while developing early creative skills.

Children will explore a wide range of materials and techniques, including:

• Painting and colour mixing

• Drawing with pencils, crayons, charcoal, and pastels

• Watercolour and acrylic painting

• Printmaking and mixed media

• Introduction to textiles

• Working on different surfaces and scales

Sessions areprocess-led rather than outcome-focused, allowing children to experiment freely, strengthen fine motor skills, develop visual awareness, and build friendships in a positive, supportive environment.

This club is also afantastic stepping stonefor children who may later progress into ourPortfolio Art Club.
