This year, our art class promises to be an exciting and enriching experience for your child as we embark on a journey of creativity and artistic exploration. We have some important information for parents regarding the structure and content of our classes, as well as details on how to book a spot for your child.
Class Structure and Content:
In our art class, we are committed to catering to the unique needs of each student. To achieve this, we have organised our portfolio class into three small, structured groups:
Saturday Art Club
Ages: Portfolio (8-16 years old)
Saturday Art Workshops – Autumn Term 2025
Open Day & Event: Saturday 13th September 2025

Autumn Term Theme:
This term, we will explore "Art Through Time & Cultures" – a journey into the styles, stories, and techniques of artists from different eras and parts of the world. Students will experiment with:
Ancient art & pattern making
Renaissance-inspired drawing & perspective
Japanese woodblock-inspired printmaking
African and Aboriginal pattern & storytelling art
Modern art movements including Cubism, Surrealism, and Pop Art
Digital illustration projects using Procreate on iPad
This group is designed for children who may already possess artistic skills and talents. Our weekly classes will help expand their skills and boost their confidence.
Portfolio Plus Group:
Geared towards more advanced students, focusing on expanding artistic knowledge, honing regular drawing skills, and building a personal portfolio.
Portfolio Creatives Group:
For the most advanced students, pursuing advanced art studies such as GCSE, A-Level, or degree level. Includes sketchbook development, project completion, and preparation for higher education portfolios.
Class Materials:
Our classes encompass a variety of art forms, including drawing (graphite, pencil, sharpie, watercolor pencils, pastels), painting (acrylics, watercolor, ink), printing (relief printing, linocut, mono-printing, screen printing), and mixed media (collage, digital art, projector).
Inclusion Policy:
We are committed to promoting inclusion and diversity in our classes. Children with special educational needs (SEN) and learning difficulties are warmly welcomed. Parents are encouraged to book in blocks for consistent skill development. Our facilities have wheelchair access.
Payment Details:
Take advantage of our early bird registration discount of 20% when completed by 6th September 2025. Payment options include:
Direct debit with weekly payments (set up online)
Online payment for block bookings of 6 or 12 sessions
Cash payment at each class once registration is confirmed
All bookings require the online registration form. Places are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority to block bookings.
Art Awards:
We are a registered Arts Centre at Fullwell Cross Library, offering Arts Awards for ages 5-25. Our founder and director, Eliyah Qureshi, is a qualified Arts Award advisor specialising in SEN delivery.
Special Projects for SEND Children:
We offer tailored projects for children aged 10-25 with special educational needs and disabilities, ensuring inclusivity is at the heart of our work.
