Saturday Portfolio Club 11:30am -1:30pm
Saturday Portfolio Art Club – Portfolio Building & Skill Development
The Saturday Portfolio Art Club is a structured, project-based programme for children and young people aged 8–16 who want to develop their creative skills and build a strong portfolio. Sessions take place at Fullwell Cross Libraryevery Saturday from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM (2 hours), running from 18 April to 18 July 2026, with a total of 13 sessions across the term. The programme includes a public exhibition on 20 June and an end of term celebration on 18 July, giving young people the opportunity to showcase and celebrate their work.
This is a focused creative space where children work on longer, in-depth projects, often developed over two to three sessions. This allows time for planning, experimenting, refining, and completing artwork — helping them build a strong and meaningful portfolio. Throughout the term, young people will explore observational drawing, painting, mixed media, printmaking (including screen printing), textiles such as batik, and large-scale structured work.
The Portfolio Club supports children in developing creative discipline, independence, and confidence, while also providing opportunities to take part in exhibitions and local creative programmes. It is an inclusive and supportive environment with professional guidance, designed for those who are ready to take their creativity to the next level.
Sessions are £20 per session, with flexible booking options available. The full term (13 sessions) is £260, with a 20% discount bringing it to £208, which is recommended to support full project development and completion. If starting from the following week, a 12-session option is available at £240, reduced to £192 with the 20% discount. For families needing more flexibility, a block of 7 sessions costs £140, with a 10% discount bringing it to £126, with dates confirmed in advance.
Due to the structured and project-based nature of the club, drop-in sessions are not available, and all places must be booked in advance. Parents can book full term or secure a place and pay per session once confirmed, with options to pay online or at the door. Regular attendance and punctuality are important, as missing sessions may affect the completion of artwork and overall portfolio quality.
All materials are included, and sessions are delivered in a supportive and inclusive environment. Sibling discounts are available, and families are encouraged to get in touch directly to apply.
This is more than just an art class — it is a space for young people to develop their skills, build a portfolio, and grow in confidence through meaningful, creative work.
