The Big Draw 2018 - Let’s Play With Paints!

We have organised days full of maximum creativity and imagination, for The Big Draw festival - transforming ordinary objects into tools for expression.

Our event at the Fullwell Cross Library was all about playing with paints, utilising unconventional and conventional methods, ranging from painting to projections, having fun with scale and taking a step back with brushes longer than a giraffe’s neck.

Participants were free to collaborate or work individually, our staff embraced the DIY spirit by making brushes our of leaves and branches and our youngest visitors had lots of fun painting on toddler-sized easels. We were so impressed with both children and adults letting their artistic side flow with the paint!

What’s more, during our event we had a guest artist Seth Benjamin create a live drawing - embracing this years theme of inclusive play. Once again we wanted to extend a special thanks to Kate and Rich Hair Salon for sponsoring this event, thanks to this we were able to sell tickets for just £1.00! which embraced the Barkingside Art Club vision of inclusive art!
