✨ About the Portfolio Club

The Saturday Portfolio Art Club is a structured, project-based programme for children and young people aged 8–16 years who want to develop advanced creative skills, build confidence, and create a strong portfolio of artwork.

Designed for young artists who are passionate about creativity, the club provides a supportive studio environment where projects can be developed over several weeks, allowing time to research, experiment, refine techniques, and complete high-quality work.

🎨 A Flexible, Interest-Led Approach

Every young person is unique, so alongside our structured weekly programme, students are encouraged to follow their own creative interests.

Children can choose to work towards personal creative goals in areas such as:

  • 🎨 Painting

  • ✏️ Drawing

  • 🖨️ Printmaking

  • 🗿 Sculpture & 3D Design

  • 🧵 Textiles & Mixed Media

  • 📱 Digital Art & Procreate

  • 🎬 Animation & Storyboarding

  • 📚 Illustration & Character Design

  • 🖌️ GCSE Portfolio Development

  • 🎓 Arts Award & Duke of Edinburgh Skills Section

  • 🖼️ Personal Creative Projects

Professional artists provide one-to-one guidance, helping each young person develop both technical skills and their own artistic style.

🌟 What Makes Our Portfolio Club Different?

Young people can choose to:

  • Follow our weekly structured creative programme

  • Develop their own independent projects

  • Build a GCSE or college portfolio

  • Explore new materials and techniques

  • Work towards Arts Award qualifications

  • Complete their Duke of Edinburgh Skills section

  • Prepare work for exhibitions and competitions

  • Receive mentoring and creative feedback from professional artists

Artwork is often developed over two or three sessions, encouraging patience, creative thinking, problem-solving and craftsmanship rather than rushing to finish in one session.

🌈 More Than an Art Class

The Saturday Portfolio Art Club is a creative studio where young people are supported to discover their artistic voice, develop professional skills, and build confidence through meaningful creative experiences.

Whether working towards GCSE Art, college applications, Arts Award, Duke of Edinburgh, exhibitions, or simply developing a passion for art, every young artist is encouraged to grow at their own pace in an inspiring, inclusive and professional creative environment.
